Over the past 20 years, we at C2IT Consulting have had the opportunity to work alongside businesses and organizations across a variety of spectrums. Sometimes, we get the chance to team up with an organization that is doing amazing work to help others and make the world a better place.

We were approached by Desert Rose, a non-profit organization out of Morgan County that provides shelter and resources for victims of domestic violence. Desert Rose, known for being an organization of hope and restoration, was looking for help in building them a better website to communicate their mission, share details about their services, and be a beacon of hope to those searching for help in an abusive relationship.

C2IT had multiple meetings with Desert Rose to learn more about their organization and the goals they had for their online presence. A couple of our team members even had the opportunity to tour their shelter. These meetings provided the foundation we needed to build a beautiful website to communicate their heartbeat to any online visitors. We launched their site in Fall of 2023, just in time for October, which is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Every website is unique, and we were able to provide a neat feature for the Desert Rose site in the form of a “Safety Exit” button at the bottom of the website on every page. This button provides an instant “escape” for someone browsing the site who doesn’t want their abuser to know they are looking for help. The “Safety Exit” immediately navigates to a Google search page to avoid an awkward confrontation before they are ready to act.

We are thankful for our ongoing partnership with Desert Rose. Be sure to swing by their site this October (Domestic Violence Awareness Month) at www.desertrose.cc and learn more about the good work they are doing.
