Tell us a little about your business – what does Werner Financial do and how do you serve your clients?
We are an independent Registered Investment Advisor. We focus on managing investment accounts and financial plans for clients who are looking to retire, in retirement, saving for a goal, or simply, wanting to be more efficient with their investment strategy. We also have a wing of our business that specializes in creating tax efficient strategies in partnership with tax professionals focused on business owners and entrepreneurs.
What makes you stand out from other companies in your same line of work?
Our ability to bring specificity to your portfolio management. Alongside attention to each client’s risk tolerance and goals, our belief is that constant homework and conviction behind the quality of that work will lead to outsized performance for our clients.
Our unique offering for business owners is also a differentiator. After studying under various tax planners and partnering with a team of experienced professionals in Indianapolis, we have created a process that has added efficiency and tax savings for our clients.
In your business, how important is your technology to your success? What was the catalyst for reaching out to partner with C2IT Consulting?
Technology is vital to our success. Everything we do has technology at the center of it. From communication with clients, accessing resources to expand our knowledge, executing strategy via portfolio management and tax planning, and keeping our clients data secure. We interact with technology constantly. We knew we needed a more robust partnership with a team of technology experts, and we stopped looking for partners after our first meeting with C2IT. It did not take long for us to get comfortable with both their expertise and their ability to communicate throughout the onboarding process. We are thankful we found C2IT!
From the first conversation to now, what was the experience like working with C2IT? What did you notice that you appreciated about the team at C2IT and how they worked with you?
From the very beginning we had a seamless experience with C2IT. Every step of the process was explained to us clearly and effectively with timelines and priorities. The biggest change for us was having to migrate from Google Suite to Microsoft Outlook which felt daunting at the time. C2IT couldn’t have made it a simpler process for us; they handled everything! Their communication is incredible and they answer any questions we have quickly while taking the time to ensure that we are comfortable with every step of the process.

How do you feel about your ongoing partnership with C2IT?
The partnership with C2IT is one of our most valuable! Being an independent financial advisory firm, we have to handle our client’s data and personal information so having cybersecurity is of the utmost importance. Knowing how diligent C2IT is at keeping our systems secure allows our team’s primary focus to be on maintaining our close connections with our clients.
Tell us about your goals and hopes for the future. Any exciting news on the horizon?
We would like to continue growing! We have the team around us to take a significant leap forward and are positioned to take on new clients. Regardless of market conditions, changes in the tax code, disruption from new technology, or any other unforeseen shifts, we are confident in the team we’ve built and our partnerships with professionals and clients.
