Some anniversaries deserve more than a quick acknowledgment. This week marks two of them for our team, tied to two people whose stories sit at a meaningful point in C2IT’s growth: Megan and Andrew. Their hire dates fall close together, and every year they remind me of a pivotal season in our company’s history.
Before their arrival, C2IT was still a small but expanding team. We had already hired our first developer, which helped us move beyond what Joe and I could accomplish on our own. Around that same time, we brought on our first young business development teammate, Drew, who opened doors and pushed our web opportunities forward. His work created demand for clearer branding, cleaner content, and stronger design—needs that quickly outgrew the bandwidth of our existing team.
That demand is what led us to open a role for a Web & Content Specialist. Right as we began that search, we received an application from someone who already knew us well: Andrew. He had interned with Joe and me during college and made it clear he wanted to return. The design role wasn’t the right fit, but his strengths and familiarity with the company made the choice obvious. We created our first dedicated IT support position, and Andrew stepped into it immediately.
Only a week later, we found the right person for the role we originally set out to fill. Megan joined us as our Web & Content Specialist. With both hires landing almost back-to-back, our team of three grew to five in a single week. I’m sure I told Erin we wouldn’t make a jump like that again. Whether I kept that promise is debatable, but the move was crucial for where we were headed.
What mattered most was what happened afterward. Both hires grew far beyond the boundaries of their original jobs.
Andrew became a central leader within our IT Services team, a steady partner to Joe, and someone the team now relies on for clarity, dependability, and technical judgment. His growth reflects both skill and character.
Megan expanded her creative role across the company, bringing structure, quality, and momentum to projects in web design and custom development. Her leadership has strengthened our content, design standards, and cross-team communication. She continues to push our work forward with a clear sense of ownership and professionalism.
Their consistency shaped the culture we’re known for. Their growth helped C2IT take confident steps into new lines of work. Their loyalty has anchored us through seasons of change and expansion.
Work anniversaries matter because people matter. These two helped build the foundation we’re standing on today. Recognizing them is easy. Following their example takes work.
I’m grateful for Megan and Andrew—for their commitment, their leadership, and the future we’ll continue building together.
Here’s to many more milestones ahead.
